As an award winning Canadian Life Coach, teacher and pioneer in the field of consciousness, Wendy Down has been actively inspiring people to a higher expression of what they can be and do since 1999.
She has taken her uncanny ability to access untapped human capacities for accelerated personal growth, and created the Consciousness Playground; a global network devoted to the exploration of consciousness, intention and cutting-edge energy practices. Her experiential programs and gentle, down-to-earth style of coaching are known for creating magical moments of transformation that result in a quantum leap in awareness (and the occasional big belly laugh).
Wendy has always been passionate about the science and art of living life full on. Throughout her academic career, she was your typical high-achiever, winning various academic awards and graduating at the top of her class from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor’s in Nursing. She then went on to achieve a Master’s in Adult Education from the University of Toronto.
After 15 years of practicing as a Registered Nurse, she became a faculty member in Health Sciences at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario for nine years and was consistently rated as “an outstanding teacher” by her students.
Her next educational adventure led her to undertake professional coach training at Coach University, the leading coach training firm accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She transitioned from nursing and created a thriving life coaching practice working with over 8000 individuals through her innovative private and corporate programs.
In 2003, she won special recognition through the ICF’s prestigious Prism Award for her popular “Unclutter Your Life” program delivered to Clarica Insurance Company, teaching professionals how to experience a more meaningful life and better work/life balance.
Her coaching has continued to grow and evolve to include cutting-edge transformational practices and technologies in the field of consciousness, intention and energy and she became one of the first coach’s to integrate WaveMaker Technology in her practice. This led her to co-create the WaveMaker Mastery Program for Great Life Technologies in San Diego, becoming the first content developer and Director of their Advanced Mentoring Program for four years and achieving the highest level certification (level IV, which, as an aside was pretty easy to obtain since she was the person who gave out the Certifications at the time J).
Wendy continues to combine her passion for transforming lives with her extensive teaching experience to assist her clients and Consciousness Playground members to evolve beyond what they ever believed could be possible. Her clients regularly report results that most coaches would die for.
Wendy resides in Brantford, Ontario, Canada with her sweetheart and husband Dwayne and their two children, Nicholas (13) and Haley (9). At home Wendy is known for continually rearranging the furniture and repainting the house as well as occasionally bashing the side mirrors off the family van while backing out of the garage.
