How Would Your Pals React to Your Youthening?

Its wonderful to be getting such enthusiastic feedback about my Youthening work and to know you are out there, eager to play.

Today I started anticipating how this Youthening Program might roll out in your life and got curious about the reaction those around you might have to your participation and results.

I know if you’re reading this blog, you are open, at least somewhat, to my unconventional ideas.

But how about your family and friends?

How would those around you respond to your participation in a Youthening Program based on the idea that you can grow younger by letting your ‘inner self’ transform you from the inside out?

Are they likely to dismiss it as snake oil and ridicule your gullibility?

Are they likely suspend judgement until they see results?

Or are they likely to get on board and join you themselves?

Perhaps to avoid the response of others, you’ll keep your explorations into Youthening a secret and not breathe a word to those around you?

I’m interested in your thoughts on this because what you have to say will help me prepare you for it.

Leave a comment sharing you how think those around you would react to your Youthening explorations.

And I’ll give you big bonus points if you go so far as to have a conversation with someone in your inner circle about this and let me know their reaction!

I am appreciative to have looked older when I was younger and younger with the passing of non-existent time. I am with those who desire to keep it to/for themselves and live the example.

I generally forget my age and am told I look younger than whatever it is. I’m not sure if people will have much to say to me, because I think I am already getting some of those statements (to say it a cool quantum way, some of my photons are already at the end of your experiment!) I think I will likely not discuss it as not to come off as proselytising, or by inference make someone feel like I am finding fault with their appearance, unless I hear someone directly express a wish that something was different.

Pat – yes, totally – I’m always meeting older ladies who have a timeless dimension and younger folks who seem like they are worn down.

I’d love to play in your Youthening Program. It’s leading edge and I want to be on it/in it!

OK, I just talked about the Youthening Program to two of my co-workers. I think amused and skeptical would be a euphemistic way of referring to the “jokes” and comments! I’m thinking that’s pretty much how my family and other friends would react as well. My inclination is to keep my thoughts about it to myself, and then wait until the comments about how young I look start rolling in.

Actually, going back to an earlier post about watching for evidence of youthening appearance to show itself around me, this week at a family reunion I noticed a tremendously youthened appearance in my aunt (in her late 70s) and youthful, energetic vibrations from other women in their 80s!

I love that you talked to your co-workers, Pat. The evidence is starting to pour in that Youthening is becoming possible. Won’t it be great when they observe you change before their very eyes? :-)

One of the things that may hold us back from a youthening program is what we think “they” might think. It certainly seems like wisdom to let the results ‘speak for themselves’ – it’s better for people to wonder what you have been up to – that makes you smile so often, than to allow them to put negatives in your way.

We don’t want to ‘go to war’ against our own, or anyone else’s, negativity. Youthening is simply making another choice and living it and becoming the best that we can be.

I think amused, skeptical hope might just about cover it:)

Hi Wendy, I am already a verbal proponent of “You’re as young as you feel”! And people often tell me I do look younger than 50. I think that if family, friends and co-workers knew I were actively pursuing youthening, some would want on-board, others would be pleased for me, but stay in their boxes, and others would assume drugs and surgery had triumphed over “inevitable” aging! LOL A mixed bag all around – sorry it doesn’t help pinpoint!

I DID talk about the program, to a co-worker who wants to grow hair. He believes in Possibilities and is on a Shaman path right now, and although he has no internet access, he wants me to “coach him on the side” if that’s okay?
