While its natural to look for evidence in the mirror when you start to anti-age, there’s a quantum truth that will help you understand what the mirror really reflects about you so you can free of using it to measure your ‘age’. This is helpful, especially in the beginning when your belief in Youthening is shaky at best.
In a nutshell, the quantum truth is that there is no reality that exists independent of your observation of it. All reality is subjective – determined in the moment of perception by the one perceiving it. While that notion may scramble your brain, it means that like your body doesn’t ‘collapse’ into perceivable physical form until it is observed.
The physical body you see may appear to be a solid object moving through time and space but on the quantum level, the body you perceive as you is simply a swirling cloud of atoms, protons and electrons. When your eyes light on your reflection in the mirror, your observation freezes the infinite potential that you really are into form in that moment.
What you see as your body is perceived through a filter. Your filter includes your beliefs, expectations and memories. As you perceive your body through that filter, the infinite potential that you really are is ‘collapsed’ into a form that matches your beliefs and expectations. In other words, the act of observing your body is the act of unconsciously creating your body. Moment to moment.
The process occurs so seamlessly and the illusion of an independently-existing outer reality so complete that your body seems to exist independent of your observation of it. Your body seems to be moving forward through time, aging inevitably, just like you see and believe everyone else doing.
But you may be starting to learn from other experiences you’ve had that when you change what you believe, what you see will change. In other words, rather the ole’ ‘seeing is believing’, the new insight is that ‘believing is seeing‘.
So next time you look in the mirror, pay attention to what you expect to see reflected back. If it seems most likely that your reflection will be similar to what it was the last time you looked, that expectation is all that is being reflected back to you – in an image that is similar to what you saw the last time you looked at yourself. Its not your ‘real age’, its your expectations reflected in 3D form.
One of the keys to Youthening involves, obviously, changing what you believe is possible and therefore expect to observe.
That’s why in my Youthening Program, I’ll be addressing why its so hard to change what you expect and believe when it comes to aging.
An underlying hint for you to mull over is that most of us would be terrified to see a spontaneous change in our appearance – even if it was the disappearance of an unwanted wrinkle or grey hair. Most of us, while wanting to look younger, also deep down, have an unconscious preference for our outer world and our bodies to be predictable and stable. Because it would scare the crap out of us if they changed.
I’ll be covering how to resolve this deep inner preference for your body to stay the same. And teach you to rely on the unchanging nature of your inner self to provide that desired sense of stability instead.
Stay tuned!

I just recalled an experience I observed, which makes me think about how others’ expectations influence our beliefs.
While my father was active-duty military and we moved around a lot, my Mom looked much younger than her age. But when we moved back to our familial neighborhood, I perceived her, at age 42, go from appearing to be about 35, to appearing to be 45, almost overnight. Kinda like their expectations of how she “should” appear caused a shift!?
BTW, as a military spouse now – away from family – it will be interesting to maintain new beliefs unwaveringly, in order to insure I remain uninfluenced, when visiting family, myself!!
What a great experience to be able to refer to for yourself, Linda. I love it.
Very exciting. I can hardly wait for this. I’ve already had some success in the past with reversing the “graying” of my hair. (The original dark color comes and goes). I’m eager to see what happens with your Youthening module.
Thanks for posting that, Pat. Your experience now opens up the possibility of gray hair ‘coming and going’ to others who never thought that could happen. As a result, some will start looking for this themselves and – guess what – see it too.
Brilliant!
Through following you here, I am still seeing a younger me in the mirror though I haven’t been looking too closely at this point. That fits in well with one of your points. I’ll get used to seeing without too much scrutinizing at this point.
Kim – Its a great technique to catch a glimpse of a younger reflection in your mirror and then look away. What you may notice is that as you start to scrutinize, you are looking for the old tell-tale signs of aging – which then appear. In the quantum world, the change in what you saw actually occurred AS your scrutinized…
