What Evidence Would Show You’d Grown Younger?

If you happen to notice that right now my brow is dewy with perspiration, its because I just spent the last 45 minutes speed-reading all the comments I received last night from people interested in participating in my free 90 day Youthening Experiment.

Apparently a lot of you are interested in seeing how a transformation in your inner state can reveal itself as a noticeable change your outer appearance too.  Who knew so many would be interested to see if its possible to Youthen without the aid of any lotion, procedure or process.

Now that that’s clear, I need your input to ensure that this experiment delivers noticeable results.   Because obviously, if its an experiment, we need something specific to measure.

So I’m interested in having as many people as possible tell me what single piece of evidence would show you you’d grown younger?

Would it be fewer visible lines and wrinkles?

Would it be having a bright, glowing complexion?

Fewer aches and pains?

Or might it be measured by other people?  For example, by having people start to tell you how much younger you look?

Is it possible that, for you, the most compelling evidence might even be something dramatic that changes on the inside?  Like a renewed feeling that your life lies ahead of you, wide open, and you have all the time, freedom and energy in the world to make the most of it?

Choose any single piece of evidence that would most strongly demonstrate that you’d grown younger.

But you can only choose one.  I mean it!

Take your time and consider the question thoughtfully.   Heck, tweet your friends and pass the question along on Facebook if you want to get some help on this.

Here’s the question again:

“If you discovered that it were possible to grow younger over time rather than older, what SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE would most strongly demonstrate that to you?”

When you are ready, let me know.  Your answer will help me determine the single piece of evidence that I shape the Free Youthening Experiment around…

Ok, go!

I already know something is going on from the downloads because I am SO triggered. But I don’t expect this is the evidence being sought. So what would make me say ” oh look, a miraculous change!”? How about youthful excitement. Wouldn’t that be an amazing catylist to start the whole process so that stuff like smooth taut skin & acheless bodies would simply follow?

Yes Annie – that sounds wonderful!

For me it would be being free from the aches and pains of getting older. I can remember how it felt to move easily, hardly ever took an aspirin, eat anything I wanted without heart burn! Yes getting rid of wrinkles would be nice but they do not even come into consideration if I could move like when I was in my 20s and 30s.

Well Wendy,

Definitely I would have to say the face is the giveaway. You can look like twenty-something from behind, then when you turn around, and the jig is up! It seems like the aging process fades us into the same kind of ‘invisibility’ we had in society when we were children. And, the age thing is sort of a closed-loop feedback system. I might feel great energized, and dynamic, but if I look in the mirror and my reflection looks weary, well….it’s ‘sobering’. I also agree that the changing hair-color, and for men, of course, hair loss is a big milestone. Luckily, at 56, my hair has pretty much stayed the same (thanks mom and dad!). My problem is the ever lovely puffy under eye baggage. The over-all thinning of my skin and concomitant lines set these off nicely. This year, the area under my chin is drifting southward. Another good reason to ‘keep my chin up’.
I do notice overall though, that if I am happy, smiling, and talking animatedly, I look 5 years younger. So ladies and gentlemen, lets keep listening to the youthening downloads and keep smiling!

I would take before-and-after photos of myself and compare the two photos. If I looked younger in the after photo, that would convince me.

Re: <>

I would know that I had indeed grown younger if someone (and preferably more than one) said something to me along the lines of “Wow! Do you ever radiate youthful energy.” Skin deep changes would be cool, but how far better a demonstration of turning back the clock than to hear the words “you radiate youth.”

Mmmm… I like the sounds of that Cynthea!

Skin elasticity is a good one…..along with that smooth, firm texture with no roughness or weathering.

I have always counted that I was doing this well when someone would place me as much younger than I was. I am beginning to realize that I may have focussed too much on this as a marker.

If we’re going for quantifiable without wishful subjective thinking creeping in…
I think hair color would be the most objective indicator.

that being said…I’d most LIKE to see some elasticity and resilience back in the skin:)

Thanks!

Wendy
Skin elasticity would also be on my list. My eyebrows changing back to the
natural color and thickness would be an indication for me too. Bring it on
Wendy, we thank you.

Thanks Wendy for your feedback… Rule-flouter that I am, I did think of another one, VERY easy to quantify, potentially popular for men and women – changing hair back to its youthful color. If people experienced that, it seems like it’s a door into everything else falling into place.

Okay, I’m through suggesting now!

Thanks for being so specific, Court, Claudia and Kim. I’ve been assuming that younger-looking skin is what would signal youthening to most people. But I do want to go on assumptions – I want to go on what people say.

Kim, what would people have to reflect back to you that would count as your evidence of having Youthened?

For me, it would be reflected back to me by others because at times I felt like a spring chicken and somebody would say something and I’d feel like I was deluding myself. But maybe this is the whole problem….doing the process backwards.

Wendy, for me I’ve noticed a slight change in my jawline, so I think skin elasticity would be the best way to express this…

Wendy,
For me it would it be fewer visible lines and wrinkles
